"Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act!
Action will delineate and define you." ― Thomas Jefferson
Action will delineate and define you." ― Thomas Jefferson
I was reminded of these words (above) one morning when Alexa offered them as inspiration to start my day. This time, however, I heard them in a slightly differently way...
"Don't ask"?
I would offer an upgrade: ASK, ASK, and ASK some more together with acting.
Cultivating curiosity, and continuously asking questions in our environment, can help guide us into actions with greater impact.
Taking action will bear results, while taking informed action is more likely to deliver desirable results.
This does not mean getting tangled in analysis paralysis, or getting stuck in theory without practice. It simply means that before diving in head first, you might choose to get curious first. For example, you could ask:
Clarity isn't the key to taking action, but it is a key to taking effective action.
Then...ACT, ACT, and ACT some more. This is how we learn.
No need to stall, dawdle, doubt, or get bogged down in questions.
Instead, get curious as you lean in, jump in...BEGIN...AND KEEP GOING!
Could you use some assistance with your asking and acting? Let's chat.

- What is most important to me now? Why?
- Which action(s) can I take first to begin moving me forward right away?
- Who and what else can I add to my efforts to support my success?
