Wiggle It Just A Little Bit:  What Is Now Is Not Forever

Sometimes it can feel like this is it, like there is no way out of your current situation. It can show up in small ways, like not knowing how to say no to someone, or bigger ways, like feeling stuck in a relationship, in your career, or with your finances.  While I hope that you are not experiencing any of this during the holiday season, if you are...
...may you see that change is possible and it all comes down to creating a little more wiggle room.

Even though what we are experiencing in the present moment may feel like it will never change, it is precisely in this moment that we have all of our power to create change.  Our power in the present is in the thing we think, the thing we say, the thing we do, the energy we are being.

What we choose in this second directly influences the next second and the next… This means that if you decide there's no way out, then there will in fact be no way forward.  You close out all other possibilities, cut off your power to choose something new, and stay stuck.  Even just allowing yourself to see there may be a possibility you have not yet considered, creates wiggle room, a space in which something different can show up.
When another possibility emerges, we see that there is a way out, a way through, even if it doesn’t exactly match what we had envisioned for ourselves and even if we can only see the next step forward, not the whole path.

When we pair presence with a growth mindset, we can learn to  automatically start infusing every situation with greater possibility and more wiggle room. The more we practice relaxing our mind and getting curious, the more we will begin to see a world with fewer road blocks.  We learn to trust that wherever we find ourselves, in whatever situation, we can find a way forward, grow through the experience, and create what’s next with more ease.
